Meepik guide · League of Legends & Twitch

Make your Mee react to your games and your stream

Rules tell your Mee what to play when something happens: a pentakill, a raid, a sub bomb, a fight at low health. This guide builds your first rules, gives you recipes to copy, and explains every setting.

  • Where: Setup → Games & streams
  • Needs: a Meepik subscription
  • Time: about 5 minutes

01Before you start

  • Subscription. Reactions to games and streams are a subscriber feature. On a free account the rules page shows a lock and a button to subscribe. You can still connect your accounts.
  • Turn the plugins on in Connections. League of Legends needs nothing else: it reads your match on this PC as soon as the game loads.
  • Connect Twitch: on the Twitch card, click Connect, then Open the sign-in page and enter the code Meepik shows. The card then says “Connected as” and your channel name.
The Connections page with the League of Legends, Twitch and Stream Deck cards
Connections: both plugins on, Twitch connected.

Animations. A rule plays your Mee’s animations. Every Mee has the five emotions below; some Mees have more. If you pick an animation your current Mee doesn’t have, the rule shows a red warning and is skipped.

  • Laugh
  • Love
  • Cry
  • Fear
  • Angry

02How rules work

Each plugin has its own list of rules. When something happens in your game or on your stream (a moment), Meepik checks the list from top to bottom. The first rule that matches plays, and the rules below it are skipped. Put specific rules above general ones: Pentakill! above Multikill, Big raid above Raid.

There are two kinds of rules. Moment rules play once, for a kill or a follow. Hold rules (the triggers marked “hold”) keep an animation on your Mee for as long as their conditions stay true, like “while my health is under 20%”.

The League of Legends rule list in Setup, Games & streams 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  1. Add rule opens the editor for a new rule.
  2. Reset to defaults replaces the whole list with Meepik’s suggested rules. It asks first.
  3. Drag the handle to move a rule up or down the list.
  4. The checkbox turns a rule on or off. A rule that’s off is kept but never plays.
  5. ▲ ▼ move the rule one step, like dragging.
  6. Test plays the rule’s animations on your Mee right now.
  7. Edit opens the rule, Copy duplicates it, ✕ deletes it.
  8. Try a moment pretends an event happened, so you can check the rules without a game or a live stream.
  9. The Event log lists every moment and what came of it: the rule that played, or why nothing did.

The grey line under each rule’s name sums it up: the trigger, its filters and conditions, then what plays, for example I get a multikill, Streak / level reached ≥ 5: Laugh 3 s → Love 5 s.

03Your first League rule

Goal: when you get a pentakill, your Mee laughs, then sends love, even if you’re holding a key-binding emote at that moment.

  1. Open Setup → Games & streams → League of Legends and click Add rule.
  2. In Name, type Pentakill!. The name shows in the list and in the event log.
  3. Under When, pick I get a multikill. The list holds every League moment, plus While… (hold) for hold rules.
  4. Under Only if, click Add condition and set Streak / level reached ≥ 5. For a multikill, this number is the size of the streak: 2 for a double kill, 5 for a pentakill.
  5. Under Play, pick Laugh for 3 s, click Then… and add Love for 5 s. They play one after the other.
  6. Tick Interrupt my key-binding emotes so a pentakill wins over an emote you’re holding, then click Save.
  7. Move the rule above Multikill (drag it or use ▲). Otherwise Multikill (2 or more) matches first and your pentakill rule never plays.

Step 3: the When menu lists every League moment.
The finished Pentakill! rule in the editor 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  1. The rule’s name.
  2. When: the moment that starts the rule.
  3. Filters for that moment. Empty means any champion and any game mode.
  4. Only if: conditions on numbers. All must be true.
  5. Happens … times within … seconds: wait for several moments in a row.
  6. Chance (%): play only part of the time.
  7. Play: the animations and how long each lasts.
  8. Cooldown: seconds before the rule can play again.
  9. Let this rule cut in while you hold a key-binding emote.

Test it without a game

At the bottom of the list, in Try a moment, pick I get a multikill, type 5 in the number box and click Run. Your Mee plays the pentakill and the event log shows Pentakill! → …. Try 2: this time Multikill plays.

  1. The moment to simulate.
  2. Its filter, when it has one (here: who got first blood). A number box appears instead for moments with a number.
  3. Run sends the moment through your rules.
  4. The result, newest first: the rule that played and what it played.

TipTry a moment only fills in what you set. Anything else a rule checks, like your champion or your health, counts as matching.

04Your first Twitch rule

Goal: a raid of 50 viewers or more gets a bigger reaction than a small one.

  1. Check that Connections shows Twitch as connected.
  2. Open Setup → Games & streams → Twitch, click Add rule and name it Big raid.
  3. Set When to Raid. Under Only if, add Viewers ≥ 50.
  4. Under Play, add Love 3 s, then Laugh 3 s. Tick Interrupt my key-binding emotes and click Save.
  5. Move it above the plain Raid rule, which still catches the smaller raids.
The Big raid rule: Raid, Viewers at least 50, Love then Laugh

Test it the same way: Try a moment → Raid, type 80, Run. Big raid plays. With 12, the plain Raid plays. The log also says why a moment played nothing, here a 50-bit cheer and a second follow during the cooldown.

The Twitch rule list with the event log after five test moments 1 2 3

  2. Run.
  3. Big raid at 80 viewers, Raid at 12, a 50-bit cheer that matched no rule, a follow, then a follow inside the 10-second cooldown.

08Plugin priority

When League and Twitch both want your Mee at the same moment, the plugin higher in Setup → Plugins wins: its held animation stays and its reactions go first. Stream plugins start above game plugins. Your own key bindings and Stream Deck emotes always come before any plugin.

The Plugins tab with Twitch above League of Legends 1 2
1 Move a plugin up or down · 2 Turn all of its reactions on or off.

09Rules on your Stream Deck

With the Meepik plugin for Stream Deck (7.1 or later), a key can switch one rule on and off mid-stream, for example muting follow alerts during a cutscene.

  1. In Connections → Stream Deck, click Install the Meepik plugin.
  2. In the Stream Deck app, drag the Meepik Reaction on/off action onto a key.
  3. In its settings, pick the plugin, then the rule. The key lights up while the rule is on.

Plugin on/off does the same for a whole plugin, like all Twitch reactions while you’re on a break.

10Troubleshooting

Start with the Event log: every moment shows up there with what happened.

no rule for thisNo rule that’s on uses this trigger. Add one, or tick the one you have.
nothing played (Cheer 100+: Bits ≥ 100 is false)A rule exists, but a condition was false. The log names the first rule it tried and the failed condition.
2/3 in 60 sA “Happens … times” rule is still counting.
not this time (50% chance)The chance roll failed.
cooling downThe rule played less than its cooldown ago.
a key-binding emote is playingYou’re holding an emote. Tick Interrupt my key-binding emotes on rules that should cut in.
this Mee has no 'Dance' animationPick another animation, or switch to a Mee that has it. The rule shows the same warning in red in the list.
dropped: 3 reactions already waitingToo many moments at once. Meepik keeps the queue short so your Mee never lags minutes behind.
locked: plugin reactions need a subscriptionGame and stream reactions need a Meepik subscription.
the Mee isn't runningShow your Mee from the Dashboard first.
My League rules never play in a match

Check that the plugin is on in Connections. Its status says “No League game running” until the match itself has loaded; the lobby and champion select don’t count. If you open Meepik well after the match started, the moments that already happened aren’t replayed.

A general rule plays instead of my specific one

The first matching rule wins. Move the specific rule (Pentakill!, Big raid, Sub bomb) above the general one.

Test plays, but nothing happens on stream

Test only plays the animations. Try a moment runs the whole list as if the moment happened, so use it to check the order and the conditions.

My Meepik reward doesn’t show up on Twitch

Channel-points rewards need an Affiliate or Partner channel. Check that Twitch is connected in Connections and look at the Twitch event log for an error.

A hold rule never lets go

It holds as long as all its conditions are true. Check them in the editor, for example Dead (1 = yes) = 0 next to Health (%) < 20, so the scared face stops when you die.
